LoudCast does not collect any data. There are no accounts, no analytics, and no tracking. All audio analysis and normalization happen entirely on your Mac — your files are never uploaded anywhere. Normalized copies are written only to the folder you choose; your original files are never modified.
What loudness standard does LoudCast use?
ITU-R BS.1770 integrated loudness (LUFS) with EBU R128 gating, plus true-peak (dBTP)
measured by 4× oversampling.
What targets can I export to?
Apple Podcasts (−16 / −19 mono), Spotify & YouTube (−14), EBU R128 (−23),
ATSC A/85 (−24), and a Universal −14 / −1 dBTP preset.
What does “True-Peak Safe” do?
It applies the loudness gain needed to hit your target but never lets the output exceed
the −1 dBTP ceiling, so files never clip. Use “Gain Only” if you want the exact target
loudness regardless of peaks.
What formats are supported?
Input: MP3, M4A, AAC, WAV, AIFF, FLAC, CAF. Output: WAV, AIFF, or M4A (AAC). MP3 can be
read but not written — export as WAV or M4A.
